Lucia gives me the same level of excitement that I got from watching Zucker at DU. It would be tough to see him included in any trades, even though he is still 2 years away from being a fixture on this team.
That Phillips pick has turned into a disaster, especially when guys like John Gibson, Brandon Saad, Tomas Jurco and Boone Jenner were selected after him. I'm starting to wonder why I was so high on Flahr and Fletch's drafting ability. It has been pretty mediocre for the most part.
Graovac has been a shining star on an otherwise pitiful team down in Iowa. I still do not see him being more than a 3rd line center, but I love his size and skating ability.

It's nothing to get too excited about, but I think it may be early to judge their entire body of work.

Wild draft history - Hockey DB. Fletcher starts in 2009 (do yourself a favor, don't look below that).

'09 and '10 can probably be evaluated, but I think the rest of the years there are still questions as to how good/bad they have done.

Just and FYI for you non-season ticket holders... According to Ek,(for whatever that's worth) Wild currently leading the pack for Vermette and one of the top teams in on Lupul as well. "More to come..."

I think Vermette would be a quality pick up if he could be had on the cheap. Unfortunately I think Fletch would have to give up too much to get him. Lupul pretty much the same. I'm fine with status quo and keeping this years number one pick but I'm not sure what else Fletch has that's attractive enough that can be moved without mortgaging the future with an already bare cupboard of prospects.

Yeah, I tend to agree - these guys are going to cost too much. I wonder if the Wild would take a flier on Jokinen though - could be a poor man's Vermette for much cheaper?

I think the big problem with Lupul is the term/dollars - 3 more years at $5.25M. He could play in their top six but that would likely mean you're moving somebody out of the top six and who would that be? Maybe this makes more sense if Fletcher makes a bigger move that costs him a top six/nine winger first. He could circle back and maybe get Lupul late.

Even with so many games left to be played, I keep thinking that this game determines who will make and who will miss the playoffs. 2 regulation losses in a row, combined with the injuries might break this delicate Wild team.
